The Hawaiian Collection was my first collection. As a young teenager, I would fly from California to Hawaii to see my family and we would hang Hawaiian style – listening to music, my brothers all jamming together, picnics by the sea, making leis from the Plumeria tree on my Dad’s land, and taking plenty of naps.

I remember the warm nights, the smell of the lava flowing, the morning rain, and every day riding on the back of our pet boar, Willy. My Dad and brothers were great fisherman, so there was always fresh fish morning, noon and night...and it’s still that way today! I try and make it to the Big Island every year to teach my daughter about the beauty and culture of Hawaiian people. Mahalo!
