As mothers, we care about the health of the world our children will inherit. I’ve always wanted to produce a line that is as easy on the earth as it is friendly to our bodies. When I first touched bamboo fabric I was amazed by its softness and durability...and destined to create a collection that married the symbols of worldbeat fusion with the environmental soundness of this sustainable, organically- grown crop and naturally-based, low-impact dyes.

Late nights spent hand-painting this design transported my spirit to the vibrant jungles where the wild bamboo grows, giving me a special relationship with this amazing and cozy fabric.

As with a child, blossoming spiritually from fetus to mature adult, each layer of the lotus is gracefully revealed until, eventually, it stands on its own, grounded by its "umbilical" root to the strength and wisdom of Mother Earth.
